Pollinate Project Guardian privacy statement
Personal information (including sensitive personal information) that you provide to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (“Reef Authority”) is protected by the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act). This notice is provided pursuant to Australian Privacy Principle 5 of the Privacy Act and describes how the Reef Authority collects and manages your personal information.
On behalf of the Reef Authority, Cutthru Pty Ltd trading as Pollinate (“Pollinate”) is conducting a voluntary stakeholder survey for the purposes of a project to identify perceptions that people in Australia have toward the Reef and its management.
Your personal information, including name and contact details, is currently held by the Reef Authority for the purpose of contacting you about Marine Park Management issues. This information is being used by Pollinate on behalf of the Reef Authority for the purpose of contacting you to seek your voluntary participation in our survey. If you no longer wish for us to contact you about Marine Park Management issues and/or for the purpose of stakeholder surveys please opt out by by emailing marketing@gbrmpa.gov.au with the name and email address you would like removed.
If you choose to participate in our survey, you are not required to identify yourself and your responses will be collected anonymously.
No personal information is requested from you in the survey and any unsolicited personal information provided by you will not be retained by Pollinate or the Reef Authority. Information that you provide in the survey may be disclosed to third parties or publicly (for example, in research reports) for the purposes of Marine Park management however you will not be identified in any information that is disclosed or published.
We will not otherwise use or disclose your personal information unless permitted by the Privacy Act, including where required by law.
